Designer Erinn Valencich styled this bedroom with sumptuous neutral fabrics and finishes, then she added that a cherry on top in the form of lamps along with a cranberry silk swag. "It's easy and inexpensive," Erinn claims of this swag. "You can purchase pre-made curtains, hang them on a brief rod and tuck them behind the headboard." The hot zebra-print seat on the proper introduces a little whimsy.
Mix for a Match Using a rich deep blue wall shade and lots of dark furniture in the bedroom creates a soothing escape that emanates instead of cools. "It creates a superb soft feel that reflects light differently at various times of day," Tina says.

"It's beautiful," Robin states of this mattress. "It's a contemporary masterpiece -- it's very warm but could also go futuristic if you wanted." Lime-green sheets and orange lamps add just enough bright color to complete the appearance without going overboard.
White Coastal Retreat A vaulted wood ceiling provides airy attic to this bedroom and a cream-and-white color palette maintains a crisp, refreshing texture. The ocean and endless skies beckon from outside the many windows.
